Hi World!
I grew up near the ocean in Florida. I was interested in art from a very early age, doing drawings and caricatures of teachers and friends. My practical parents insisted that I get a more practical degree in college and so I pursued medicine, receiving my Physician's Assistant degree from the University of Florida in 1978. I practiced as a physician's assistant for years but still kept up with my creative interests. I took a leave from medicine while raising my three children and pursued my art. I attended art school at Auburn University during this time. I had a successful period doing commissioned works, primarily of children. I used several mediums, including pencil and oils. I developed my skills in photography at that time as well, setting up a darkroom and developing black and white as well as sepia toned prints. I was particularly successful with large hand-tinted prints. After my children were older, I went back to the practice of medicine but continued to pursue art, planning my schedules to accommodate days for painting. My interests still include oils but have moved more into acrylic and mixed media pieces, while still doing commissioned works as requested. Currently I am doing more fluid art. My desire to create motion in my works and to depict nature in a more abstract way. These works also often have themes of the ocean, clouds, or liquid flow, bringing back memories of my love for the ocean. My clients often talk of seeing images in the pieces they select, forms of animals, angels, or flowers, for example. Currently my works are available as originals or as prints. Patrons can also ask for a commissioned work using selected colors and styles.

My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
My inspiration comes from the beauty of nature. I love using blues in my works to depict the ocean colors.
Currently I am mostly doing acrylic paintings on gallery wrapped canvases. I create a flow across the canvas to achieve my results. Recent works are also on wood panels with a resin coat.
My top highlight in recent years was being selected by Agora Art Gallery in New York to represent my artwork. It has been an amazing adventure. I am thankful for my Agora family,
